Surfing and playing music are quite similar. 

They have everything to do with finding a rhythm. Everything to do with seeking harmony in something much bigger than yourself. You’re taking what’s already there and adding to it — and becoming part of it along the way. 

Both can take shape in so many different ways. Soft, slow, loud, fast, chaotic, chilled. It’s an emotional ride and, when approached correctly, it leaves nothing out of bounds. 

But with surfing and music, the most important thing is to apply originality to the craft. The best things come when you’re in touch with your unique perspective and find the right way to express it.
